Requirement: Entries must be at least 70% handmade, altered or customised

Bring your finest creation to The Unseelie Gathering and let the court decide its fate.

 

The Costume & Creature Making Contest is a celebration of handmade fantasy, strange ideas, creative chaos and the sort of things that look like they crawled out of a tavern cellar, enchanted forest, cursed battlefield or someone’s questionable imagination.

 

There are two categories you can enter:

Costume Making


For handmade fantasy outfits, characters, armour, robes, masks, accessories and wearable creations.

 

Creature Making


For handmade fantasy creatures, puppets, familiars, monster props, dolls, beasties, shoulder companions and strange little things that probably should not be left unattended.

 

You do not need to be a professional maker. You do not need the most expensive materials. This contest is about creativity, effort, imagination and bringing something weird, wonderful or beautifully cursed into the Gathering.

How to Enter

Contest sign-up will take place in The Guild Hall, located in the Jacquard Suite, from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

 

Visit the Contest desk during this time to register your entry.

 

You’ll be asked for your name, character name, family, and a little bit about what you made.

 

Sign-up closes at 1:00pm, so don’t leave it too late.

Winner Announcement

The winners will be announced on the Main Stage at 4:00pm

 

Winners will earn glory, bragging rights, prizes  and tokens for their family in the battle for the Thorned Crown.
